Mesa County Dog GPS Collar Pilot Program
Do you have a dog and live in Mesa County? We have an exciting opportunity for you! Roice-Hurst Humane Society is partnering with DocuPet, an international organization that implements innovative methods to help lost pets make it home safely, to launch a new GPS pet collar pilot program for Mesa County residents with dogs. GPS collars notify pet owners when their pet has left their property and enable them to quickly locate the animal and return them home safely. Selected participants will receive a DocuPet Invoxia Biotracker GPS Collar and subscription. For one year, participating dogs will wear the GPS collar, and participants are asked to submit monthly surveys to track results. Ultimately this pilot program will be used to examine the feasibility of a future wide-scale prevention measure of providing GPS collars to families with pets, potentially saving lives, time, resources, and heartache.
Interested in joining the pilot program? Applications are open now through April 30, 2026. Participants will be selected and notified in May.
