Celebrate spring by making the pledge to get your pets active and enjoy the sweet sounds of three local bands – The Instagators, Flat Top Reed, and JACK + JILL – at Woofstock April 16 at the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens, 641 Struthers Ave.
Walk your dog any time from 7:30 a.m. to noon at the Botanical Gardens trailhead. Download and use the Wooftrax © “Walk for a Dog” app. on your smartphone and start earning money for Roice-Hurst today. Volunteers will be available the day of the event to help you download and install the app. Then take the pledge to keep your dog active and pick up information about where to exercise your dog in Grand Junction.
Gates open to Woofstock at 11 a.m. Bands play noon to 5 p.m. There is no admission fee, but donations will be accepted. Families and well-behaved dogs are welcome. Kids’ activities include the Shriner Clowns making balloon animals, an activities booth, and the castle play area. Roice-Hurst will have dogs available for adoption, cat/dog behavior sessions, and pet-related information. A variety of pet services vendors will be present at the event.
Concert-goers are advised to bring a lawn chair. No outside food or beverage will be allowed in the concert but empty water bottles will be permitted. Food trucks, beer, wine, soft drinks, and water will be available.
