A starter kit for finders and fosters to care for orphan newborn kittens in Mesa County.
Roice-Hurst Humane Society’s Kitten Care Kiosk project provides basic kitten care starter supplies and resources to empower and equip finders and fosters of orphan neonatal kittens to begin initial care. Newborn kittens rely on their mother’s care for survival. When a kitten is orphaned, their lives quickly become at risk without human intervention. Because orphan kittens require around-the-clock care, animal shelters can only help them when a foster family volunteers to care for the kittens in their home. This free kit, which can be found at the 24/7 Animal ER of the Western Slope (1660 North Ave), ensures that compassionate kitten finders and fosters have the supplies and knowledge they need to immediately begin lifesaving care.
