Spay/Neuter Assistance

The best way to prevent crowded shelters and pet overpopulation is to spay or neuter your pet. If you have a pet that has not been spayed or neutered and you can’t afford the full cost of a spay/neuter procedure at your regular veterinarian, Roice-Hurst Humane Society may be able to provide a voucher for a free or discounted spay/neuter surgery at one of our partner vet clinics. This program is funded by the Colorado Pet Overpopulation Fund and Roice-Hurst’s generous donors.

  • For most owned dogs and cats, we can provide a voucher for $50 off a spay/neuter surgery at one of our partner vet clinics. The pet owner is responsible for the remaining balance. However, thanks to our Grand Valley Cat Project program, we can provide vouchers for FREE spay/neuter surgeries for cats living in the 81501 ZIP code, performed by Animal Birth Control.

  • Our spay/neuter vouchers are a resource for pet owners who can’t afford to have their pet spayed or neutered by their regular veterinarian at full price. Please reserve this resource for those who are not currently in a financial position to cover the full cost of a spay/neuter surgery.

  • This resource is for owned pets only. The only feral/community cats we are able to accommodate must be in the 81501 ZIP code.

  • We can provide humane cat traps by request.

  • Before filling out this form, please schedule a spay/neuter appointment for your pet at one of the following veterinary clinics. We cannot issue a voucher if you do not already have a surgery appointment scheduled.
