Winston face

Featured Pet

Winston is a 3 year old Mastiff/Australian Cattle Dog.

“I am a shy yet charming canine searching for patient owner with relaxed lifestyle. I am looking for gentle guidance to help me come out of my shell. Treat me sweet and kind and I’ll blossom. I am independent, and like people, but not super social. I can get easily distracted, but I like to learn new things, and would love some training classes. I really like women a lot, but I warm up very slowly to men, and new situations. I am a big love baby.”

We get new animals every day! VIEW AVAILABLE PETS

Dollars for Dogs, Cash for Cats

October is National Adopt a Shelter Pet Month, so local businesses have paired up with RHHS to sell paws to raise funds for the homeless animals in our community. Stop by the shelter or any of the participating businesses and donate today! Each paper paw costs $1.00. Partners include all Loco Food Stores, all Alpine Banks, both Chow Down Pet Supplies, Coronado Liquor Mart, All Pets Center, Hot Tomato, Bestslope Coffee, and many other locations.

Low-Cost Vaccine Clinic

Our next low-cost vaccine clinic is October 16 from 9am-12pm. Pets are seen on a first-come, first-served basis. All vaccine costs are in addition to a mandatory $15 pet exam fee. Visit our Clinic page for more info and pricing.

Our low-cost vaccine clinics are offered monthly at the shelter, typically on the second Sunday of the month.
