Spay/Neuter Assistance
The best way to prevent crowded shelters and pet overpopulation is to spay or neuter your pet. If you have a pet that has not been spayed or neutered and you can’t afford the full cost of a spay/neuter procedure at your regular veterinarian, Roice-Hurst Humane Society may be able to provide a voucher for a discounted spay/neuter surgery at one of our partner vet clinics. This program is funded by the Colorado Pet Overpopulation Fund and Roice-Hurst’s generous donors.
If you need spay/neuter assistance, please submit the form below. You can expect to be contacted within 48 hours Monday-Friday. Questions? Please contact our Animal Resource Center Coordinator at 970-434-7337 ext. 103 or info@rhhumanesociety.org.
Guidelines
For owned dogs and cats, we can provide a voucher for $50 off a spay/neuter surgery performed at Animal Birth Control in Grand Junction or at Grand Mesa Veterinary Hospital in Delta. If you would prefer to use your regular veterinarian for the procedure, please contact your veterinarian directly to see if they accept our vouchers.
For feral/community cats, we can provide a voucher for $35 off of a spay surgery or $25 off of a neuter surgery performed at Animal Birth Control. You will be responsible for covering any remaining balance.
Our spay/neuter vouchers are a resource for pet owners who can’t afford to have their pet spayed or neutered by their regular veterinarian at full price. Please reserve this resource for those who are not currently in a financial position to cover the full cost of a spay/neuter surgery.
Humane cat traps are available to borrow by request.
