November is Adopt A Senior Pet Month

It’s the holiday season and many families are looking to add a new four-legged member. Kittens and puppies are cute, but they require a lot of work. Consider adding an older cat or dog to your family this year.

There are a lot of benefits to adopting an older cat or dog –

  • Avoid the hassle of basic house training – of course a new pet will need to know where to go and you will need to guide them according to your house rules.
  • Size and grooming expectations are not a surprise.
  • You get to see their personality and know if they will fit in your home and with your family.
  • You have access to current medical history.

Need another reason? Just come by the shelter and meet one of our older cats or dogs and just try not to fall in love.
